Soccer Graduation 2010

This post is WAY overdue, as this was Dominic's Graduation from his first session of soccer in December, but I figured I would share it with everyone anyway!

His new session started this past Saturday and he did great as usual with just a few distractions from the near by car video games that he likes to pretend to play. He has a new coach this time and I think it will take some warming up as we loved the old one. There are also some new faces in the class too, which is fun!

Rick, Jennifer, Alexandra and Madelyn,

Thank you are the words that come to mind as I sit to write this. Thank you for being our friends when we had no others here. Thank you for all of the fun times and laughs over the past several years. Thank you for being around for the ups and downs. Thank you for your friendship and generosity. Thank you for sharing the memories of having our first little ones together. Thank you for your support. Thank you for the days at the pool and playground.

Rick, thank you putting up with the endless conversations between Jennifer and I had and for being a great friend to Vinny.

Alexandra, thank you for being one of Dominic's first buddies and being a such a good friend and playmate to him. Thank you for being a warm hearted and energetic little girl who will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Jennifer, thank you for being you and for being the friend that you are and I know you will continue to be. Not sure that I have enough words to put it all down here!

Madelyn, thank you for bringing even more joy and love into our friends' lives and we can't wait to get to know you even more as time goes on and you continue to grow.

Although our friendships have to enter a new phase now, tonight was not "good bye", but just a "see you soon." We will miss you all terribly but we wish you much luck and happiness in Chicago. We are excited that you are getting to begin a whole new adventure and can't wait to hear all about it!
