Hill Ridge Farms

We had a great time with the Brubaker's this weekend visiting Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville.
Dominic got to pick out a pumpkin, go on a hay ride and play in a room that was filled entirely with corn. Best of all, he got to play with his friend Alexandria. We can't wait to go back again next year!

First Day of School

Daddy took Dominic to his first day of school today. There is a program for 1 year olds (they let Dominic in even though he's a few weeks early) that meets once a week at the elementary school. He got a book to take home since it is his birthday month and they even did arts and crafts. Dominic's first school artwork project is proudly hanging on our fridge - a scarecrow with moving hands and feet and a snake made from a paper plate. Ok, so I think Daddy had more fun with that than Dominic did, but we've got to start somewhere, right?

Woof, Woof!

Since Max has been temporarily relocated to our laundry room post-surgery, his crate has been vacant for the past couple of weeks. Dominic has been exploring around it more and more. He taught himself how to open and close both of the latches and also likes to pretend to be Max and climb inside...

Swing Time

The weather was so nice on Saturday that we just had to get out and enjoy it. We took Dominic to a nearby park after dinner. He loves the swing, but even more, he loved just watching all of the other kids play and seeing all of the excitement going on.

We bought Dominic a push toy a couple of weeks ago. He is really getting the hang of it now and is much more confident with it. He was definitely showing off for the camera this morning when I took this one.

Nonna's Visit

11 Months!

Today is Dominic's 11 month birthday! We can't believe how fast it went.
Dominic weighs about 18 lbs and has 7 teeth. He can stand on his own for quite a while and has good balance. He is getting very good at walking with his walker toy. Dominic LOVES to climb! He is starting to eat more and more different types of foods and loves them. These days he prefers to feed himself off of his high chair tray rather than have Mommy feed him "baby" food. Just one more month until the big ONE!

Monkey Joe's

I had the afternoon off from work on Friday, so we decided to take Dominic to a place called Monkey Joe's. It has all different types of enourmous blow up "bounce houses"for the kids to play around in. Dominic was a little timid at first, but once he relaxed, he had a great time rolling, crawling, jumping, bouncing and exploring! It was very hard to restrain Vinny from really getting in on the action, but the huge signs posted everywhere warning that adults could supervise their children, but under NO circumstances could they bounce, put a little damper on his fun :-) We all can't wait to go back.

Tooth #3 has arrived

Vinny and I were so intently focused on Dominic's top four front teeth coming in since his gums have been so swollen and look ready to burst at any time that we nearly missed that his 3rd bottom tooth cut through until Vinny noticed it yesterday afternoon! We'll see how long it takes for those top ones to follow...

Happy 50th Anniversary Nonno & Nonna!

We made a fast but fun trip to New York this past weekend to help celebrate Nonna & Nonno's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We also got to squeeze in some visiting too! It was a great weekend and we got home just in time to celebrate Dominic's 10 month birthday today! Happy Birthday, Little Man!

9 Month Check Up

Dominic visited with Dr. Lerich yesterday and had his 9 month check up. She is pleased with his development all around. He weighs 17 lbs (4th percentile) and is 27.5 inches long.

Three Quarters of a Year!
