Grandma and Grandpa came for a week long visit this Easter, so it felt like we were celebrating Easter for an entire week. The first day that I had off, Vinny and I along with Grandma and Grandpa took Dominic to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny. Based on how excited Dominic was for Santa this past Christmas, I was pretty sure he'd do great this time as well. The mall was empty and Dominic didn't have to wait at all to see him. For whatever reason, Dominic refers to him as the Easter Rabbit and not the Easter Bunny and he loved getting to sit up there with him. He told him what he wanted in his basket and enjoyed being able to hang out there for a few minutes since there was no one else waiting. The thing that has stuck with Dominic is that the Easter Rabbit did not speak back to him. He keeps reminding us that the Easter Bunny doesn't talk whenever we see the picture or discuss how he got to sit on his lap. It's funny, the things that they focus on. Afterwards, we went out for a great lunch and had such a fun time all being together!
